Growing up on Long Island, I lived the suburban dream my parents always desired, transitioning from Queens to a home we owned. Attending a prestigious high school was a privilege that shaped my future, despite feeling sheltered at the time.
In 2011, a search on Jones Beach, a well-known spot on Long Island, uncovered eight sets of human remains. Later, authorities discovered a ninth victim and a skull near a bird sanctuary on Ocean Parkway. This discovery marked the emergence of a serial killer who would be referred to as the Long Island Serial Killer, also known as the Gilgo Beach Killer and the Craigslist Ripper, due to the killer's pattern of targeting escorts who advertised on Craigslist.
In total, two more sets of remains were found, leading to speculation of a potential second killer.
