Finding Peace in the Present: A Journey of Self-Reflection

Chapter 1: Embracing the Now
How would your perspective change if you could look back on your current experiences? Do you have faith that everything will eventually fall into place?

Are you aware of your growing stress levels, and can you observe this process? When your body communicates discomfort, do you listen? Often, we become so engrossed in our daily routines that we neglect the essential moments of relaxation that we not only deserve but desperately need.
Even if it's just from the comfort of our homes, observing natural environments can provide some relief, though nothing compares to experiencing nature firsthand. (Picture by Alexander Schimmeck on Unsplash)
What if you could maintain your equilibrium before feeling overwhelmed? I have personally found success in taking a step back.
A Sophrology Approach
My introduction to this technique came through sophrology sessions. The practice involves visualizing a challenge while viewing it as if you were a spectator in your own film. You gradually ascend into outer space, pausing to reflect at different stages: initially breaking through the roof, hovering above your surroundings, and then gaining a broader perspective that includes various offices and homes. Ultimately, you soar high above your country, continent, and beyond, observing the original issue from a distance. This method can significantly help in gaining perspective on what initially troubled you.

Trusting the Process
Believing in your fortune can create a sense of alignment in your life. Amidst my struggle to juggle tasks today—which, as we know, often leads to mistakes and stress—I decided to adopt this “elevated” viewpoint and observe myself as my future self. This version of me has already achieved all the aspirations I currently hold.
I pondered: "Will I look back and feel nostalgic about the hardships and victories that are even more rewarding when earned through growth and kindness?" (Perhaps Mike Sansone could consider developing a course on kindness in action).
Recognizing that I might feel a tinge of envy for my current self, even after reaching my goals, I felt grateful to be in this moment—picking up rice off the floor, running late to the library, and managing a customer's order.
I hope these reflections inspire you to explore this practice for yourself. Wishing everyone love and resilience!
