Chapter 1: The Long-Awaited Passion

For a considerable time, I shied away from pursuing what truly excites me.

Writing has always held a special place in my heart. While reading captivated me first, it was through those pages that my desire to write blossomed. From the moment I began putting pen to paper, I nurtured a dream of becoming a professional writer. However, I only engaged in writing sporadically, remaining an amateur for far too long.

I often reassured myself that one day, I would achieve financial stability and be able to dedicate myself fully to writing, free from financial concerns. Yet, this was merely a self-imposed barrier. Although I have enjoyed every job I've held and gained valuable insights, none were fulfilling enough to make me want to remain until retirement.

I continually believed I would soon gather enough savings to leave my job behind and embrace writing. However, that very hope created a chasm between me and my passion, leading me to set writing aside for an indefinite future. I now recognize how misguided that thinking was.

In hindsight, I wish I had written more consistently, even if it was just a line or a paragraph. The regret of having sidelined my passion for so long lingers. Thankfully, hope never abandoned me. I feel fortunate to have finally embarked on my journey into the world of writing.

What once seemed like a distant dream of writing daily has become my reality. Although I haven't saved enough from my jobs, nor do I currently earn from writing, I remain optimistic that I'll carve my path forward soon.

Interestingly, as I find myself currently unemployed, I've begun to write each day. Regardless of how little I produce or the modest impact it may have, I firmly believe this is the best I can offer myself and the world. My writing comes from a place of love and passion, and I engage in it without expecting anything in return.

I feel fulfilled when others share that they find my writing enjoyable, comforting, or inspiring. Through my various job experiences, I've learned that perseverance will lead us to our true calling. I could have pursued higher positions in my previous roles, but deep down, I knew that wouldn't bring me lasting happiness. To truly thrive, I needed to pursue my passion and wholeheartedly embrace what I love.
