New Literary Agents Open for Kidlit, YA, SFF, Fiction, and More
Written on
Here are six newly appointed literary agents actively seeking new clients. These agents are a valuable resource for writers, as they are keen to build their portfolios and are willing to go the extra mile for their authors.
All of the agents featured here are affiliated with reputable agencies known for their success. They welcome submissions across all genres.
Be sure to review the agency's website and the agent's biography prior to submitting. Agents may change agencies or stop accepting submissions, and their requirements can evolve.
Note: Please refrain from submitting to multiple agents at the same agency at the same time. If one agent declines your work, you may then submit to another agent at that agency. Some smaller agencies have a policy indicating that a rejection from one means a rejection from all.

Ms. Rachel Goldblatt of Curtis Brown Group, Ltd. (UK)
I joined Curtis Brown in 2022 and am now an Associate Agent. I support Jonathan Lloyd and am also actively developing my own list. I am open to submissions and eager to discover new writers. Collaborating with authors editorially is one of my favorite aspects of the job, and I am particularly interested in debut novelists.
What I am looking for: In fiction, I am particularly attracted to narratives driven by character and voice that evoke deep emotions and provoke thoughtful reflections on our world. If the writing is engaging, dynamic, atmospheric, and insightful, I am open to various types of stories. However, I especially appreciate those with a strong sense of time and place, clear intentions, and that examine the human experience. I enjoy books that delve into complex or marginalized characters, intricate family dynamics, domestic life, contemporary relationships, identity, and the female perspective.
I seek compelling narrative non-fiction that challenges perspectives and offers fresh insights on significant topics. I have a particular interest in literary biography and criticism, as well as works on nature, art, history, and contemporary social issues, particularly extraordinary stories about real individuals or events.
How to submit: If you wish to submit your work, please email [email protected] with your cover letter and a sample of your work (a synopsis and the first 10,000 words/three chapters of a novel or your non-fiction proposal).
Davinia Andrew-Lynch of Curtis Brown Group, Ltd. (UK)
Before joining Curtis Brown, I established and managed the boutique agency Andlyn and previously worked as a film/TV agent. I also co-created the FAB Prize with Faber Children’s to discover unpublished children's writers and illustrators from Black and Ethnic Minority backgrounds (www.fabprize.org).
As a 90s kid shaped by the era's storytelling—bold, fast-paced narratives with lovable characters—I seek stories that surprise, resonate, evoke laughter, and authentically reflect our world. My priority is to provide writers and illustrators the freedom to share the stories they wish to tell.
What I am looking for: I represent writers and illustrators in children’s/YA across various genres, and I am also building a list of commercial adult fiction.
How to submit: Please reach out via email at [email protected].
