Chapter 1: An Overview of Current Challenges

It seems that the notorious scammers on Medium have cloned my profile once again, which has left me quite frustrated, especially since the platform does little to address these issues. They targeted Dr. Yildiz as well, preying on vulnerable writers who struggle to earn an income. Do you find it easy to empathize with scammers?

X continues to perplex me! I’ve decided to step away from editing since it consumes too much of my valuable time and adds unnecessary stress as I age. Nevertheless, I remain dedicated to publishing, curating, and promoting exceptional stories. Helping writers and delighting readers brings me joy.

I’m puzzled by why so many writers overlook Slack! I’m both a member and a moderator, and it’s entirely free and user-friendly.

Additionally, I’ve gathered some facts illustrating how biased the algorithm and human curators can be—if they even exist, which I have my reservations about.

It’s heartening to celebrate our good friend Aiden, who has achieved his 200th episode today. Let’s applaud his dedication and resilience despite facing recent challenges. Aiden also dedicated three days after work to welcome 200 new writers, and we will notify them shortly. The ILLUMINATION editors have already onboarded the first group, and I plan to introduce them to my audience in a future post.

Yesterday, during a brief break, I introduced our new Quora space and all the spaces inviting writers for meaningful reasons. Dr. Yildiz has penned an insightful article about Quora, capitalizing on his extensive experience. It’s a valuable resource for freelance writers seeking additional income avenues.

Recently, we managed to streamline our sizable publishing queue at ILLUMINATION, leading our chief to write a heartfelt piece that is truly inspiring for both writers and readers, despite focusing on the editors who made it all possible.

However, Medium’s recent bugs affected our largest publication significantly. I shared my reflections on this incident.

During a short respite, I wrote an important piece aimed at Type II diabetics titled "Why 50% of 10,000 UK Type II Diabetics Choose Low Carb Diet Instead of Drugs."

I also documented the second month's progress of my publication, Health and Science, which experienced a strong surge with 40K views last month. If you’re interested in writing on these subjects, feel free to join us—details are included.

I highlighted a fantastic piece by Brenda Mahler and credited it to our dear Aiden, the owner of ILLUMINATION Gaming.

Aiden has shared his farewell story from the boost program, but he will continue to support us as an editor and curator, which I truly respect.
