Celebrating My Humble Achievements in Education: Part 1

Chapter 1: Reflecting on My Teaching Journey
In the world of education, it's easy to overlook personal milestones, particularly when immersed in daily responsibilities. To ensure that I remember these accomplishments, I've compiled a list of my recent achievements. This is just the beginning, so I consider this part one of my reflections.
Section 1.1: A Promising Start
Having started my new teaching position two months ago, I am genuinely pleased with my experience so far. While the first weeks can be challenging for many educators, I've managed to stay energized and focused.
Section 1.3: Establishing Classroom Culture
I manage five class periods with around 40 students total, and their behavior has been commendable. By incorporating rituals to begin and end classes, along with playing LoFi hip hop music in between, I've created a structured environment that significantly reduces the need for strict discipline.
Section 1.4: Rising to the Occasion
Last week, my school faced a shortage of instructors, with two absent out of seven. I successfully managed to substitute for both classes without any issues.
Section 1.5: Addressing Academic Integrity
My attentiveness in the classroom is improving, and I'm becoming more confident in enforcing discipline. Recently, I caught a student boasting about receiving an A on a paper generated by ChatGPT. I approached them, took the paper, and addressed the class with, “Top 10 things to never say in a classroom: #7: AI wrote my paper.” I promptly reported the incident to my principal, who resolved the case by the end of the period.
Chapter 2: Personal Growth in Writing
This video outlines effective strategies for achieving 100% completion in "Happy's Humble Burger Farm," paralleling my own journey of accomplishment and setting goals in my teaching role.
Section 2.1: Noteworthy Writing Achievements
September marked my best month as a Medium Partner. Although the earnings won’t cover my rent, they signify a positive shift. I've previously published in academic journals without compensation, giving away my rights, so this improvement is encouraging, and I anticipate further progress.
This video provides an introduction to "Happy's Humble Burger Farm," showcasing the excitement that mirrors my classroom experiences and the joy of learning and achieving.
Section 2.2: Certification Milestone
I recently earned certification as an editor through Paper Raven, equipping me to assist with everything from editing outlines to organizing book launches and building authors' websites, skills honed during my PhD training. Currently, I'm developing a marketing strategy and seeking quality clients.
